Abstract

The study investigated the oil content, fatty acid composition, and
oil-yield indicators of cottonseeds from Xinjiang varieties of China and cotton
varieties cultivated in Uzbekistan. Comparative analysis showed that Xinjiang
varieties are distinguished by higher oil yield, whereas local varieties demonstrate
stable adaptation to agroclimatic conditions. The prospects for using breeding
varieties rich in oleic and linoleic acids in the fat-and-oil industry were evaluated.
