Abstract

This paper explores the fundamental principles and practical applications of Karnaugh maps, solution trees, and logical reasoning in the field of discrete mathematics and computer science. Karnaugh maps are presented as an effective graphical tool for simplifying Boolean expressions and minimizing logical functions, which is essential in the design of digital circuits. Solution trees are examined as a structured method for representing decision-making processes, algorithmic thinking, and problem-solving strategies. The study highlights how these tools contribute to the development of logical thinking skills among students, particularly in areas such as information security, programming, and system design. Through theoretical analysis and illustrative examples, the paper demonstrates the interconnection between these concepts and their role in optimizing computational processes and improving analytical reasoning.
